Key fobs are a genius invention. Making unlocking and locking vehicles much faster and safer.
Cooling down or heating up vehicles as you remotely start them sipping coffee from your kitchen.
But what happens to them when you have decided to get a new vehicle? Can you reuse a key fob?
Well...sorta.
If the key can lock and unlock the vehicle then the key fob can be reprogrammed for that new car.
